D.C. United News Release

CHANTILLY, VA (March 1, 2004) - Single-game tickets for D.C. United home matches at RFK Stadium went on sale today Monday, March 1, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., the team announced. Single-game tickets begin at $16 for seating in the Spectator section, with tickets in the Mezzanine level available for $36. Individual game tickets are available at all TicketMaster outlets and via dcunited.com. This marks the third straight season that ticket prices have not increased. United opens the 2004 campaign on April 3 with a home match against the defending MLS Cup Champion San Jose Earthquakes. Kick-off for the game is set for 4:00 p.m.ET.

"We are extremely excited about the start of the season, and expect a sellout crowd for opening day," said United Senior Vice President Stephen Zack. "Coach Nowak is doing a great job pulling the team together, and we expect to see a great night of soccer on April 3rd."

D.C. United will continue to use a downsized stadium-seating configuration, with a 24,603-person capacity, taking advantage of the powerful RFK Stadium atmosphere to create the most fan-friendly experience possible. In addition to current VIP seating, the team has also created a new "Fantasy Seat" section, allowing fans to sit at field level, inside the walls of the stadium.

New for this year is a forward-exchange policy. Season tickets for any D.C. United match may be exchanged at the D.C. United box office for a game ticket for a different MLS game to be played earlier in the 2004 season. Full- and half-season plan holders can maximize the value of their package by using tickets for matches they might not otherwise attend to bring friends, family, or business colleagues to a United game. Tickets may still be exchanged for later matches as in years past.

United for D.C., the charitable arm of D.C. United, continues their involvement in the Kicks for Kids program. Over 10,000 area youth are positively impacted through this program, as they learn the benefits of a substance-free lifestyle. Additionally, youth beneficiaries receive a free ticket to a D.C. United home game. For more information on Kicks for Kids, United for D.C., or any other D.C. United charitable program, please call United for D.C. at (703) 478-6600.

Also returning for 2004 is the United Kids program. Children under six years of age will receive a free season ticket with the purchase of one adult season ticket at regular price. Children ages 6-16 can receive a discount on a season ticket package with a corresponding adult purchase. All youth season ticket holders receive complimentary membership in the D.C. United Youth Fan Club.
