
D.C. United Acquire Loudoun United Winger Azaad Liadi on Loan

WASHINGTON, DC - D.C. United have acquired winger Azaad Liadi on a four-day loan from United Soccer League (USL) Championship affiliate Loudoun United FC for their upcoming match against Toronto FC on March 19.
Liadi joined the Black-and-Red on loan for their first match of the season in the 3-0 win against Charlotte FC on Feb. 26. He came on as an 81st-minute substitute in the match.
Liadi signed with Loudoun United on Jan. 28, 2022 from South Georgia Tormenta FC. The winger started his professional career with FC Tucson in USL League One in March 2020, scoring three goals and recording three assists in 15 appearances (11 starts). Ahead of the 2021 season, the winger moved to South Georgia Tormenta FC, where he scored seven goals and recorded five assists in 27 appearances (24 starts).
Liadi attended Saginaw Valley State University from 2016 to 2018, where he made 56 appearances and scored 11 goals. The 23-year-old transferred to Georgia Southern Eagles for his senior season in 2019, making 16 appearances and scoring three goals.
