ATLANTA - Ronald Hernández, Josef Martínez and Miles Robinson have received national team call-ups to the Venezuela and United States Men's National Teams ahead of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in Conmebol and Concacaf, while Caleb Wiley has been called up to the U.S. Under-20 Men's Youth National Team for two matches in Argentina.
Robinson joins the USMNT for World Cup Qualifiers against Mexico in Mexico City on March 24 (10 p.m. ET; Paramount+, CBS Sports Network, Univision, TUDN), Panama in Orlando, Florida on March 27 (7 p.m. ET; FS1, UniMás, TUDN) and Costa Rica in San Jose on March 30 (Paramount+, Universo, Peacock). The top three teams in the group earn automatic qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Robinson, 25, has 17 caps and three goals with the USMNT, and has started eight World Cup Qualifiers this cycle.
Venezuela will play its final two World Cup Qualifying matches of this cycle at Argentina on March 25 and at home against Colombia on March 29. The Vinotinto currently sits in 10th place in the Conmebol standings. Hernández has made 29 appearances for Venezuela and recorded one goal and three assists. He has appeared in 10 of Venezuela's 16 World Cup Qualifiers this cycle and recorded an assist in two of his last three appearances. Martínez has made 60 career appearances for Venezuela and scored 13 goals with three assists. The forward has made six appearances in the current World Cup Qualifying cycle and has scored six goals in 27 World Cup Qualifying matches in his career, including a goal in Venezuela's most recent match against Uruguay.
Wiley, 17, will join the U.S. U-20 Men's Youth National Team as it heads to Buenos Aires, Argentina for matches vs. Argentina on March 26 and Argentine Primera Division club River Plate on March 29. Head coach Mikey Varas has called up 20 players for the training camp from March 21-30 as the USA continues preparations for this summer's Concacaf U-20 Championship in Honduras, which will serve as qualification to the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics.
