July 25, 2011 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
Brooklyn Cyclones News Release
Brooklyn, NY, July 25, 2011 - On Wednesday, July 27th, the Brooklyn Cyclones will welcome their 3,000,000th fan through the gates of MCU Park. The team will reach the milestone quicker than any team in the history of Short-Season Minor League Baseball. The lucky fan who marches through the turnstiles to help eclipse this miraculous mark will have the opportunity to win 3 million pennies (in the form of a $30,000 check).
Following the game, our three-millionth fan will have the chance to head down to the field where he or she will choose from 30 different envelopes with a chance to win one of three amazing prizes:
. 3 million pennies / $30,000
. Two Season Tickets for the 2012 season, a $250 gift card for Kings Plaza and a $250 gift card for Gargiulo's
. One night in a Luxury suite at MCU Park during the 2011 season and four season tickets for the 2012 season.
All 30 envelopes will have one of the three prizes listed above and which ever prize the three-millionth fan collects five of will be their prize for the evening. The lucky fan will be the team's guest of honor that night and will receive a Cyclones prize pack, as well. In addition, three season ticket holders since the team's first season will be selected at random to represent each of the million fans that have come to MCU Park and will toss out ceremonial first pitches, while $100 gift cards to either Gargiulo's, Modell's or Kings Plaza will be given away during each inning of the game that night
"Our thanks to all of the wonderful fans who have made this possible over the last 10 and a half seasons," said Cyclones General Manager Steve Cohen. "We appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming our four-millionth fan and beyond in the years to come."
