Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
Cincinnati, OH -- The Cincinnati Cyclones made their first home game in 22 days an enjoyable one by defeating the Dayton Bombers 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Bank Arena.
Cincinnati took a 2-1 lead after the first period on power play goals from Brent Twordik and Aaron Brand after Dayton's Jamie Ling opened the game with a power play goal at 5:11.
In the second period, Ling tied the game 2-2 6:11 into the frame with his second goal of the game.
The Cyclones then answered with a power play goal from captain Nick Bootland at 9:21. Cincinnati defenseman Chad McIver would make it a 4-2 game with his first professional goal at 14:02 of the period.
Dayton would score a late goal with an extra skater on the ice, but it did not diminish the performance of goaltender Yutaka Fukufuji who made 29 saves and earned the win in his home ice debut.
The Cyclones host the Louisiana IceGators on Wednesday at 7:05 PM.
