NYPL Brooklyn Cyclones

Cyclones Host "Salute to Seinfeld: Bigger, Better and Bania"

July 1, 2015 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
Brooklyn Cyclones News Release

Back by popular demand, the Brooklyn Cyclones will kick off "The Summer of George" with their 2nd Annual Salute to Seinfeld night on Sunday, July 5th (the anniversary of the show's first airing in 1989) as part of its 5pm game against Williamsport. Cyclones players will wear special jerseys inspired by Kramer's Technicolor Dreamcoat from "The Wig Master" episode, and the first 2,500 fans will go home with a Little Jerry Bobble-Beak, celebrating Kramer's pet rooster that inexplicably would not lay farm-fresh eggs.

Actor Steve Hytner, who played the role of comedian Kenny Bania on the show, will be in attendance to throw out the first pitch and pose for photos with fans.

Pre-game and in-game activities will include an Elaine Dance Contest, Top of the Muffin to YOU Contest, Costanza Trash Eating Competition, Ovaltine Drinking Relay (officiated by Steve Hytner!), Urban Sombrero Catch, These Pretzels Are Making Me Thirsty Challenge and more.

WHEN: Sunday, July 5th at 5:00 PM (gates open at 3:30)

WHERE: MCU Park, Coney Island

1904 Surf Avenue at West 17th Street

Subway: D, F, N, Q to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue
