NORWICH, CT- The Connecticut Tigers are excited to host Fourth of July Weekend at Dodd Stadium presented by Navy Federal Credit Union.
On Friday the Tigers are set to host the Lowell Spinners, affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, at 7:05. The July 3rd matchup will feature the first of two postgame firework displays during the weekend presented by US Foods and Pyrotecnico.
The Fourth of July will feature the first bobble head giveaway of the season. The first 1,000 fans to Saturday's 7:05 game against the Vermont Lake Monsters, affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, will receive a Madison Bumgarner bobble head. Bumgarner pitched for the Connecticut Defenders in 2009 and has since gone on to win three World Series titles as a member of the San Francisco Giants and was named the 2014 World Series MVP. His bobble head will feature the camouflage jersey tops that the team wore in 2009 in keeping with the July 4th theme. The night will be capped off by the second straight night of fireworks presented by US Foods and Pyrotecnico.
The weekend home stand wraps up with a Sunday Funday on July 5th. The 4:05 start against the Vermont Lake Monsters features Kids Run the Bases presented by Ben & Jerry's and Have a Catch presented by Falvey's and ROXY 100.9 FM after the game.

The Connecticut Tigers are the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play a 76 game schedule that runs from mid June through early September. 2015 season tickets, group tickets, mini plans, individual game tickets, and team merchandise are now on sale! The front office and ticket office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be accessed in person or by calling 860-887-7962.
