TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: With an impressive season-opening win under their belts, the Cyclones now set their sights on North Division supremacy, as they welcome the Toledo Walleye to U.S. Bank Arena for the first time in 2013-14. The two I-75 foes took their rivalry to new levels last spring, when they met in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals; the series nearly went to seven games, but Mathieu Aubin's OT game-winner at Huntington Center in Game 6 propelled Cincinnati past the Fish. Since returning to ECHL play in 2006, the Clones have compiled a 30-29-2-1 regular season record vs. Toledo.

SCOUTING THE WALLEYE: Nick Vitucci's club was also victorious in their first and only game last weekend - knocking off Fort Wayne in a shootout. Scott Arnold's conversion in round five gave the Walleye the extra point. Trevor Parkes, who finished with 30 tallies in just 19 games for Toledo last year, is the team's early leader with two points (1g, 1a). Between the pipes, the Fish have a pair of new names; rookie Mac Carruth, who earned his first pro win last weekend, comes to the ECHL after a four-year WHL career in Portland. Joining Carruth is fellow rookie and Northern Michigan alumnus Jared Coreau; over three seasons with the Wildcats, Coreau compiled a 32-31-8 record and a 2.71 goals-against average. He was named the team's MVP last season.

About Saturday Night vs. Wheeling: Anthony Luciani lit the lamp twice in a wild second period as the Cyclones defeated the Nailers by a 4-2 final score in the 2013-14 regular season opener at U.S. Bank Arena. Goaltender Scott Darling earned his first win in a Cyclones jersey as he played against his former team and turned aside 18 of 20 shots faced.

Into the North: After starting the season with one non-division game, the Cyclones will open North Division play this week. A year ago, they finished with a 22-11-3-2 record vs. their inter-division foes. Since 2006, their record in such games is 112-89-6-10.

Another Goalie Debut: With Scott Darling called up to the AHL today, the Cyclones will see another new goaltender between the pipes tonight - Rob Madore. Cincinnati fans may remember him as an Evansville IceMen and Chicago Express backstop. Kettering, Ohio native Tony Tabisz has also been added to fill the vacant goaltending spot on the roster.
