
Bulls Edged by Steelheads, 3-2, in Overtime

BOISE, Idaho - On Wednesday night, the San Francisco Bulls lost a heart breaker to the Idaho Steelheads, 3-2, in overtime at CenturyLink Arena. Chris Crane and Dale Mitchell scored for the Bulls, while Tyler Beskorowany stopped 39 shots in the loss.
Through 40 minutes the game remained a scoreless stalemate. Both sides had several quality scoring chances, but each time goaltenders Beskorowany and Josh Robinson had an answer. Heading into the third period, Idaho held the edge in shots 26-22.
In the third period, the action picked up considerably. Idaho got on the board first on a power-play goal from William Rapuzzi at 1:25. The Bulls stormed back, when Crane got a power-play goal, scoring from a sharp angle by the faceoff circle at 8:25. Damon Kipp registered an assist on the play. A few minutes later, with 4:04 left in the third, Mitchell gave the Bulls their first lead of the game on a one-timer from the slot. Mark Lee assisted with a feed from behind the net. On another power play and with an empty net, the Steelheads' Anthony Nigro found the equalizer with just 18.6 seconds left in regulation, sending the game into overtime.
In overtime, after Crane missed ending the game on shot that went just wide. Nigro then pocketed his second of the night, giving Idaho the 3-2 victory.
Bulletins: Tyler Beskorowany played two seasons for the Idaho Steelheads. It was his first game against his former team...In the first period, Scott Langdon and newcomer Riley Emmerson each dropped the gloves two seconds apart...Chris Crane's goal was his first as a professional...Ryan McDonough and Brett Parnham led the team in shots with 6 apiece...The Bulls power-play goal in the third period was their first of the season.
