TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After dropping a nail biter at U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday night, the Cyclones are back on the ice in downtown Cincinnati as they continue their three-game series with the Florida Everblades. After a Kalamazoo win last night, Cincinnati has slipped into third place in the North Division standings and will need a strong effort against their South Division rivals to keep pace. Currently, the season series with Florida is even at 3-3-0, with the road team claiming victory in all six meetings thus far.

TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: Pink in the Rink Night presented by Pure Romance. The Cyclones will skate on pink ice and wear specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the Patty Brisben Foundation.

SCOUTING THE EVERBLADES: Much like in the North Division, Florida finds itself in a dog-fight for South Division supremacy. With their victory on Wednesday, they now sit just one point behind first-place Greenville despite going just 5-4-0-1 in their last ten games. The Everblades remain the ECHL's most-potent offense, netting 180 goals this year, yet they will once again be without two of their top three scorers as Mitch Fadden and Alex Imbeault remain on injured-reserve. However, Francis Lemieux remains active and as dangerous as ever. The sixth-year pro leads the ECHL in points (66) and goals (27), while he ranks second in the league with 39 assists.

The New Guys: The Cyclones have added a pair of new faces this week. Forwards Paul McIlveen and Casey Pierro-Zabotel were both acquired in two separate trades. McIlveen, a fourth-year pro, had registered 13 points (4 goals, 9 assists) in 37 games with Greenville and made his Cincinnati debut on Wednesday. Pierro-Zabotel, a 2007 Pittsburgh Penguins draft choice, instantly upgrades the Cyclones offensive arsenal. He had 34 points in 42 games with the Wheeling Nailers and a +17 plus/minus rating. With those numbers, he now ranks third on the Cyclones in scoring and leads the team in the plus/minus category.

The Good Kind of Special: Over their last seven games, the Cyclones special-teams units have been more than solid. The power play has converted on 24 percent of their chances while the penalty kill has extinguished nearly 83 percent of their opponents man-advantage opportunities.

The Century Club: This past Saturday night, forward Brady Calla played in his 100th game as a professional. He has amassed 9 goals and 22 assists in his pro-career. On Wednesday, he picked up his third multi-point game of the season by collecting two assists.
