BIG BEER TUESDAY / NASCAR NIGHT

TODAY'S MATCHUP: Riding high after a thrilling comeback win over Greenville last night, the Cyclones will wrap up their brief weekend tour of the South Division today with a stop in Gwinnett to take on the Gladiators. It is the first of only two times that the clubs will meet this season; since 2006, the Clones have amassed a 5-6-0 record against their Georgia foes.

SCOUTING THE GLADIATORS: With another victory last night, John Wroblewski's team ran their consecutive "W's" streak to four and now hold a two point lead in the South Division. Coming into the game today, the Glads are just five points up on Cincinnati in the Eastern Conference race. Former Cyclone Casey Pierro-Zabotel leads the Glads and is tied for third among all ECHL players in scoring - with 54 points (15 goals, 39 assists). Justin Bowers ranks second on the team with 42 points (12 goals, 30 assists) combined between his time in San Francisco and Gwinnett. Rookie goaltender Mike Lee has been among the league's best all season long; in 2012-13, the Phoenix Coyotes prospect is 14-11-1 with two shutouts and a 2.23 goals-against average.

Gimme' a Hero: Cincinnati has had a very balanced attack all season long. 16 different players have registered game-winning goals this season. Rookie Josh Shalla remains atop the team leader board in this category and is tied for fourth in the ECHL.

Wild, Wild East: This year could prove to be one of the closest finishes yet in the Eastern Conference. As of today, just six points separates the third through tenth place teams. Cincinnati ranks third in the East with 60 points.

Foster's Record-Setting Night: Cincinnati goalie Brian Foster had his best game of the season last night, turning aside 45 shots to earn the victory for the Cyclones. It was his 41st victory in a Cincy jersey - pushing his career numbers past former Cyclone Cedrick Desjardins for first on the club's all-time wins list. Dating back to 1990, only Frederic Chabot and Geoff Sarjeant have more triumphs while wearing the "Cyclones" crest.
