The Jackals are facing the Wings tonight for the second of four meetings this season and the first of four at First Arena. The Jackals are 1-0-0 against Kalamazoo this season after claiming a 2-1 win on January 16 in their only visit to Wings Stadium. Kalamazoo makes more appearances at First Arena (3) this season than any other North Division team. Elmira holds a 3-5-2 record all-time at home against the Wings after winning two of the three meetings here in 2011-12. The Jackals (6-3-1) and Wings (6-2-2) enter action tonight as two of the hottest teams in the conference with six wins in their last 10.
Through the first 10 games of the season Louie Caporusso recorded seven points (2G, 5A), but was held pointless in four. Since December that is the exact same number of games he has gone without a point over a span of 29 games. He has totaled 36 points (17G, 19A) in that time and has logged point streaks of eight, seven, five, and five games this season. He had his career-long five game goal streak (6G) snapped in Saturday's loss to Kalamazoo, but earned an assist. He has also been even or better in 31 of 38 games.
