TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Tonight the Cyclones will open the second leg of their two-city road trip as they invade Elmira, New York for the only time this season to face the Jackals in a two-game set. Cincinnati has been solid against Elmira over the years, accumulating a 17-10-0-2 record since 2006. However, they haven't fared nearly as well at First Arena, going 8-7-0 in the same stretch.

SCOUTING THE JACKALS: Elmira currently enjoys the ECHL's longest active winning streak, earning eight "W's" in a row. They've been especially tough to beat at home, earning a 12-5-0 record at First Arena in 2011-12. Mike Rajda has established himself as one of the ECHL's top scorers, ranking eighth overall with 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists). His goal totals are good four fourth-most in the league. Rookie Dustin Gazley has impressed in his first year or pro hockey, collecting 27 points (7 goals, 20 assists) in 32 games. With Brian Stewart in the AHL, Timo Pielmeier has assumed the starting role for Elmira of late, collecting a 6-5-0 record in 13 appearances with a 3.14 goals-against average.

About Last Night in Wheeling: Rookie Chris Barton had a three-point night as he helped the Nailers defeat the Cyclones by a 5-2 final score in front of 2,752 at WesBanco Arena. The loss snapped Cincinnati's season-high six-game winning streak. Chris Cahill and Mike Pelech scored for the Cyclones in a losing effort.

Non Division? No Problem: The Clones play all four games this week against non-division opponents. This year, Cincinnati has combined for a 5-2-1 record against the South and Atlantic Divisions while outscoring them 28-23.

Rule of Three's: When holding their opponents to three goals or less, Cincinnati has been hard to beat. They are 11-4-0-1 this year in such situations.

Power Surging on the Road: The Cyclones power play unit has been especially deadly on the road. Through 13 road games this year, Cincinnati has converted on 20.6 percent of their man advantages - the fifth-best rate in the ECHL.
