Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

Cincinnati, OH-The Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL, in response to published reports, announced today that the team has filed a letter to suspend operations for next season. The letter does not bind the Cyclones organization to sit out the season, but rather gives the team the option to play or suspend play for the 2004-05 season.

The organization is still exploring opportunities for next season. The letter was filed with the ECHL office to comply with league by-laws. If the letter had not been filed, the Cyclones would have committed to competing in the ECHL in the 2004-05 season. That commitment cannot be made at this time so the letter to suspend operations was delivered to the league office.

"Both our organization and the ECHL are upset that this confidential letter has become a matter of public discussions in certain cities," said Matt Dunne, Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Bank Arena. "We are exploring all of our options, and we hope to have a team at the arena next season."

The Cyclones play their final home game of 2003-04 on Friday vs. Reading. Game time is 7:30 p.m. It's fan appreciation night featuring Cyclones water bottles for the first 2,500 fans, free rounds of golf from Crooked Tree for the first 2,000 fans and more giveaways for Cyclones fans.

Cyclones group tickets are available at (513) 421-3222 extension 144. Single game tickets are available via U.S. Bank Arena Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets including select Kroger locations.
