Wildcatters sign another Branham

BEAUMONT, TX (March 25, 2004) – Texas Wildcatters Head Coach Robert Dirk announced today the team has signed defenseman Ryan Branham. As per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 24-year-old becomes the second Branham to sign with the Wildcatters this season, as his younger brother Tim started the year in Texas before being called up to the Portland Pirates of the AHL on December 11. Ryan recently completed his four years of college hockey eligibility at Lake Superior State University in Michigan. Branham was the Lakers team captain this past season and is expected to make his professional debut tomorrow night when the Wildcatters face the Gwinnett Gladiators.

Texas will play two games at Ford Arena this weekend. On Friday night, the Gwinnett Gladiators and Wildcatters will face-off for the first and only meeting this season at 7:05 p.m. Sunday, the Pensacola Ice Pilots make their final appearance at Ford Arena; with game time at 5:05 p.m.
