
Cutters Use Two Homers to Win Fifth Straight

The Crosscutters used two fourth inning homers to beat the Vermont Lake Monsters 5-2 in the middle game of a 3-game series Thursday night at Susquehanna Bank Park at Bowman Field.
Jan Hernandez led off the fourth inning with his fourth home run of the year cutting the Cutters deficit to 2-1. Four batters later with two on and one out Jiandido Tromp his team leading seventh homer to left center field to put the Cutters in front for good at 4-2.
Sean McHugh had a huge night at the plate for the Cutters picking up his first professional hit with a single to center in the third inning and finished by going 3 for 3 with an RBI.
Cutters starting pitcher Mitch Gueller (3-1) pitching six innings allowing just two runs on six hits while walking only one and striking out two.
Calvin Rayburn locked down his fourth save as a Cutter in the ninth inning.
