
Curry Recalled to Minnesota

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Tuesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled goaltender John Curry under emergency conditions from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Curry, 30 (2/27/84), has not appeared in a game with Minnesota this season. In 12 games with Iowa he is 4-6-0 with a 3.02 goals against average (GAA) and a .911 save percentage (SV%), including 3-1-0 with a 2.12 GAA and a .934 SV% in his last four starts. Curry is 3-2-0 with a 3.55 GAA and a .893 SV% in six career NHL games with Pittsburgh and Minnesota. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Shorewood, Minn., signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild on July 17.
The Wild will be off over the holidays until Friday, Dec. 26th at 7 p.m. in Rockford. The team will also play in Grand Rapids on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 6 p.m. CT in a meeting with the Griffins. Iowa returns home on Monday, Dec. 29 th at 7 p.m. to host Milwaukee. The team is partnering with LifeServe Blood Center for a blood drive, which runs from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 29. For donating, all fans will be rewarded with one ticket to a future Iowa Wild hockey game and an Iowa Wild hat. The first 50 fans that make a donation will be given an Iowa Wild hat, autographed by one of the players. For the game, fans may purchase the Subway Combo Pack, which starts at $12 per person and includes a ticket, hot dog, soda and a subway coupon.
The Iowa Wild 2014-15 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team's 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
