
Falcons Recall Oscar Dansk, Assign Scott Munroe to Wings

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons have recalled goaltender Oscar Dansk and assigned Scott Munroe to the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.
Dansk, 20, appeared in six games with the Wings, posting a 0-6-0 record with a 3.88 goals-against average and .892 save percentage, since being assigned on Nov. 27. The 6-foot-3, 201-pound goaltender has appeared in nine games with the Falcons this season, tallying a 4-3-1 record along with a 3.62 goals-against average and .880 save percentage. The Stockholm, Sweden native spent the 2013-14 season with the Erie Otters of the OHL, earning a 29-9-1 record with a 2.39 goals-against average and .909 save percentage, while posting six shutouts. In 85 career OHL contests, Dansk compiled a 40-32-7 record. The rookie netminder also spent two seasons with the Brynas IF Gavle of the Swedish Hockey League from 2010-12.
Dansk was drafted in the second round, 31st overall, by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Munroe, 32, has appeared in six games with Springfield this season, posting a 2.91 goal-against average and a .892 save percentage, while earning a 3-3-0 record. Munroe has also appeared in one game with the Wings, recording a 2.00 goals-against average and .920 save percentage, turning away 23 of 25 shots in an Oct. 18 victory against the Elmira Jackals.
The 6-foot-2, 194-pound goaltender spent the 2013-14 season with the Vaxjo Lakers of the Swedish Hockey League. In 36 regular season games, Munroe accumulated a 19-16-0 record and posted three shutouts to go along with a 2.05 goals-against average and .912 save percentage. The Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan native has appeared in a career total of 249 American Hockey League regular season contests, amassing a 117-93-14 record with 19 shutouts.
