Curialle's Three Bombs Hit Chiefs Past Carp

Beloit Sky Carp News Release
BELOIT - Chiefs third baseman Michael Curialle had himself a Mother's Day to remember.
Curialle, who entered Sunday's game with the Sky Carp without a home run, hit three of them in his first three at-bats to lead the Chiefs to a 9-3 victory at ABC Supply Stadium.
The win came in front of a sun-splashed crowd of 1,775 that capped off a record weekend attendance. The Chiefs and Sky Carp played the final three games of the series in front of the largest weekend crowd in ABC Supply Stadium history.
The Chiefs scored three runs in the first on a homer by Curialle, then added four more in the third and two in the fifth. Curialle finished with seven RBI's and later added a fourth hit.
The Sky Carp bullpen was again nearly flawless, throwing five scoreless frames while striking out five.
The home team tried to give the big crowd a thrill in the ninth, scoring twice and loading the bases, but came up short in the end.
Johnny Olmstead and Jorge Caballero each finished with a pair of hits to lead the offensive attack.
