Cunningham Leads Jam to a 123-108 Victory

BAKERSFIELD - Atlanta Hawks assignee Jared Cunningham scored a game-high 30 points and handed out eight assists to lead the Bakersfield Jam to a 123-108 win over the visiting Santa Cruz Warriors on Friday night.

Cunningham, Ian Clark and Ike Diogu paced the Jam in the first half, helping turn an 11-point deficit into a 64-61 lead at the break. Bakersfield added to their three-point lead in the third quarter as they went up by as many as 14 points. In the final frame, Santa Cruz executed a good run to slice the Jam's double-digit lead to just three points (102-99) with 6:12 remaining in the game. However, Bakersfield responded back by finishing the game on a 21-9 run.

In addition to Cunningham, six other Jam players scored in double figures. James Nunnally had 21 points and six assists while Ike Diogu added 17 points and six rebounds off the bench for the Jam. Ian Clark posted 15 points, five assists and three steals, while Damion James and Brian Butch each tallied 11 points. Rudy Gobert recorded his third straight double-double with Bakersfield, as he finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Warriors were led by Golden State Warriors assignee Nemanja Nedovic (29 points, 6 assists) and Kevin Kotzur (24 points, 7 rebounds). Dewayne Dedmon posted 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Bakersfield returns to action next week when they take on the Santa Cruz Warriors on Saturday, December 28. Tip-off will be at 7:00 p.m. PST inside the Dignity Health Event Center.
