Rocky Mountain Rage News Release

Broomfield, Colo. - Rocky Mountain Rage captain Brent Cullaton and assistant captain Scott Wray were both named to the starting line-up for the Northern Conference All-Stars today by the Central Hockey League. The 2008 CHL All-Star Game will be held at Broomfield Event Center on Jan. 16.

In addition to writing in his top two scorers as starters on his line-up card come Jan. 16, Rage head coach Tracy Egeland, who last week was named as the head coach for the Northern Conference, will also send out the Colorado Eagles' Greg Pankewicz (forward) and Aaron Schneekloth (defenseman), as well as the Oklahoma City Blazers' Mike Burgoyne (defenseman) and Youngstown SteelHounds' Andy Franck (goaltender) for the All-Star Game's opening face-off.

"You couldn't find two more deserving guys that'll represent our entire Rage team in the starting line-up," said Egeland. "Brent really has been the heart and soul of our club since day one this year, and what more could you ask of Scott? He, too, has set the tone for everyone else with his work ethic and leadership, and he's solidified his position as one of the league's elite scorers."

Cullaton currently leads the CHL with 33 assists and is eighth in the league in scoring with 37 points overall. The 12th-year pro's championship leadership and experience - three Finals appearances and two President's Cup titles with the Laredo Bucks from 2003-2006 - has been a major factor in Rocky Mountain's resurgence from a last place club one year ago to a team that currently owns the CHL's highest winning percentage with a record of 19-3-2.

Wray's offensive exploits are equally responsible for powering the Rage to a 10-point lead in the Northwest Division standings. He appeared on the highest number of ballots of any player and is currently tied for third in the league with 42 points and tied for second with 17 goals. The ninth-year pro was named the CHL's October Player of the Month and set a new team record with six points during a 7-2 win over the Amarillo Gorillas on Nov. 10.
