
Crunch to Welcome New York State High School Football Champions

Syracuse, NY (December 13, 2007) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they will welcome the Football Class 'AA' State Champion West Genesee Wildcats and Class 'C' State Champion Bishop Ludden Gaelic Knights to their Saturday, December 15 game against the Hamilton Bulldogs.
All-CNY Co-Coaches of the Year, Steve Bush (West Genesee) and John Cosgrove (Bishop Ludden) will participate in the ceremonial puck drop prior to the game.
West Genesee captured the Class 'AA' State Championship by defeating Monroe-Woodbury 42-21 on November 25 at the Carrier Dome. The Wildcats had four All-CNY selections, as well as All-CNY Co-Player of the Year, senior quarterback Tim Moran.
Bishop Ludden defeated Dobbs Ferry 21-16 to capture the Class 'C' State Championship on Sunday, November 25 at the Carrier Dome. The Gaelic Knights had eight All-CNY selections, including four first-team selections. Quarterback Connor Sweeney was named the most valuable player in the championship game.
Both teams, along with their cheerleading squads, coaches and managers are expected to attend the game.
The Crunch's next game is Friday, December 14 as they travel to Binghamton to take on the Senators. The Crunch return home Saturday, December 15 to battle the Hamilton Bulldogs at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
