Medicine Hat Tigers News Release

Medicine Hat, AB -- With 6 games remaining on the schedule for the Medicine Hat Tigers, everyone involved knows it will be a tough task to pick up the victories necessary to make the post season for the 14th consecutive year. However, Tigers players, devoted fans and coaches are in high hopes that this young crop of players can get the job done.

Wednesday night the Tigers will play host to the Prince Albert Raiders and when asked Assistant Coach Joe Frazer said the club just needs to go by on a day to day basis during this time, "We just have to stay focused, but we don't want to look too far ahead, that's why we are just going on a day to day basis, keep getting better during these last few games."

Medicine Hat is 6 points out of the playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, chasing the Edmonton Oil Kings. Medicine Hat won a crucial game between the two clubs on Friday March 4th, but followed that up with a 5-3 loss to Swift Current.

"The key to being so close to the playoffs is to stick to the process, focus on our game and make sure we put ourselves in a position to be in the hunt over these next 6 games," said Frazer.

The Tigers have 3 home games left, Wednesday's tilt against Prince Albert, Friday night against lowly Kootenay and game 72 versus rival Lethbridge Hurricanes on March 19th. Each game will prove to be critical as the Tabbies chase their 14th consecutive playoff appearance.

Tickets for any of the remaining home games can be purchased at ticketmaster.ca, in person at the Canalta Centre Box Office (Hours 10am-4pm) or by calling 1-855-985-5000.
