Crunch Announce Staff Promotions

Syracuse, NY (September 30, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have promoted Michael Folsom to Senior Director of Sales and Game Operations and Todd Cross Director of Ticket Operations.

Folsom, a lifelong resident of Central New York, begins his eleventh season with the Crunch. He is responsible for overseeing the team's ticket sales efforts, including the day-to-day management of the group sales staff. The 28-year old also plays an important role in the organization's game-night operations, overseeing the execution of all promotions, pre-game on-ice activities and in-game entertainment. In addition, he acts as the team's liaison between area youth hockey organizations and Central New York charities. Michael and his wife Christie currently reside in Cicero.

Cross, 28, begins his sixth season with the Crunch. He oversees the Crunch's ticketing department, including the servicing of all season ticket accounts, in addition to focusing on season, mini-plans and group ticket sales. He joined the Crunch after a stint with the Memphis RiverKings of the Central Hockey League as an account executive. He graduated in May 2002 from Ithaca College with a degree in broadcast journalism and sports studies. A native of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, Todd currently resides in Bridgeport with his wife Jennifer and their children Curtis and Rebecca.

The Crunch open their 15th AHL season with a home-and-home series against their I-90 rivals, the Rochester Americans. The teams will face-off at the Blue Cross Arena on Friday, October 10, followed by the Crunch's home opener at the War Memorial at Oncenter on Saturday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. Season tickets are available by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444.
