Bulldogs Open Pre-Season Wednesday Night

HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that the team will open their pre-season Wednesday, October 1st at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time (7:30 p.m. Newfoundland Time) against the Toronto Marlies in St. John's, Newfoundland at Mile One Centre.
Hamilton (AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) plays host to the American Hockey League's two other Canadian-based clubs, the Manitoba Moose (AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks) and the Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs), in a round-robin tournament beginning on Wednesday, October 1st. The top two teams from the round-robin tournament will play on Sunday, October 5th for the Iceberg Cup at Mile One Centre. All Bulldogs pre-season games can be heard LIVE on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, TALK 820 (820 AM) and online at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com beginning with a pre-game show five minutes before the game's scheduled start time.

All 'Dogs pre-season games will be broadcast on the club's flagship radio station, TALK 820 (820 AM) and online at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com. Joining Hamilton Bulldogs Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills as a guest Colour Commentator for all pre-season broadcasts will be former St. John's Maple Leafs and St. John's Fog Devils Play-By-Play Announcer Brian Rogers. All 'Dogs pre-season broadcasts will begin with a pre-game show five minutes before the game's scheduled start time.
The Hamilton Bulldogs are scheduled to open their 13th AHL season at MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Friday, October 10th, when they will meet the Manitoba Moose in the first of back-to-back games between the North Division rivals. The 'Dogs 2008-2009 home opener will take place Friday, October 17th, when they battle the Hartford Wolf Pack at Copps Coliseum at 7:30 p.m.
