
Houston Aeros announce training camp schedule

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) today announced the schedule for the 2008 training camp held at Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center (SLICE), the Aeros main practice facility.
Camp opens with the new players taking the ice at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1 followed by Aeros veterans with an optional skate at 12:15 p.m. Training camp will conclude after an intra-squad scrimmage from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7.
A Red Team and Green Team will split the roster with different practice times throughout the week. The rosters for the two exhibition games will be a mixture of players from each team. Friday's exhibition game will be held at the SLICE at 8 p.m. and is located at 16225 Lexington Parkway, Sugar Land, TX 77479. Saturday's game will be held at the AT&T Center in San Antonio at 7 p.m.
The Aeros open the 15th Anniversary Season on Saturday, October 11 against the Calder Cup Champion Chicago Wolves at 7:35 p.m. at Toyota Center. Season tickets, group tickets and single-game tickets are available now through the front office by calling (713) 974-PUCK or online at AEROS.com.
