
Houston Aeros slated to open training camp Wednesday with 36 players

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros General Manager Tom Lynn today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club will officially open its 2008 training camp on Wednesday, October 1 at Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center (SLICE). The club also announced its current training camp roster.
The 36-man roster includes four goaltenders, 14 defensemen and 18 forwards. The current training camp roster includes ten players who skated with Houston during the 2007-08 campaign including goaltenders Nolan Schaefer and Anton Khudobin; defensemen John Adams, Paul Albers, Maxim Noreau, Brandon Rogers and Clayton Stoner; and forwards Matt Kassian, Morton Madsen and Marco Rosa.
The first of two preseason contests is scheduled for this Friday, October 3 at 8 p.m. also to be held at SLICE. Tickets are still available at the SLICE pro shop or by calling (281) 265-7465 today. Tickets are limited so don't delay.
The Aeros open the 15th Anniversary Season on Saturday, October 11 against the Calder Cup Champion Chicago Wolves at 7:35 p.m. at Toyota Center. Season tickets, group tickets and single-game tickets are available now through the front office by calling (713) 974-PUCK or online at AEROS.com.
