
Crosscutters move within half a game in the wild card race

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
Euvi Solano and Jermel Lomack hit back-to-back RBI singles in the eighth inning to lead Williamsport past Hudson Valley, 5-3, on Sunday.
The Crosscutters moved within a ½ game of Lowell in the race for the New York-Penn League wild card. Steven Pearce went 3-for-4 with a double and a sacrifice fly, while John Santiago delivered a two-run single in the fourth that put Williamsport on the scoreboard.
Kevin Miller (2-1) pitched a scoreless seventh to earn the win. Justin Vaclavik picked up his fifth save, retiring Hudson Valley's final six batters. Derek Antelo lasted six innings, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out seven.
Following the NY-Penn League All-Star break, Williamsport will host Brooklyn at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.
