Crawdads Drop Game Two against Power

Hickory, NC - The Crawdads fell 8-2 to the West Virginia Power on Thursday night. After a Crawdads win to open the series on Wednesday night, the series against the Power is tied a one game each.

The Power took a 2-0 lead in the second inning before the game entered a two hour delay.

After the delay, the Power added on another run in the top of the fifth to take a 3-1.

Ryan Dorow cut into the deficit with a solo homerun in the bottom of the sixth. Dorow leads the team with ten homeruns. Miguel Aparicio kept the rally going with a double to center. He scored as the Power committed two errors on Preston Scott's popup to first.

The Power fought back with two more runs in the seventh and three in the eighth to make the score 8-2.

On the bases for the 'Dads Bubba Thompson stole two bags to bring his season total to fifteen.

The homestand will wrap up Friday evening with a Halloween celebration. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free Halloween themed tee shirt and the night will be capped off with a fireworks show.
