Craig Randall II Named NBA G League Player of the Week

LONG ISLAND - The NBA G League announced today that Long Island Nets forward Craig Randall II was named NBA G League Player of the Week for games played Wednesday, Jan. 5, through Sunday, Jan. 9. This marks the fourth NBA G League Player of the Week recognition in Long Island Nets history, the first for Long Island this season and the first of Randall II's career.

In three games last week, Randall II averaged 35.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 42.4 minutes per game while shooting 50.6 percent (39-of-77) from the field and 40.0 percent (20-of-50) from 3-point range. The Youngstown, Ohio, native scored 20 or more points in each contest, including two games of 40 or more points, and led Long Island in scoring in two of the team's three games.

Randall II began the week with a game-high 40 points on 57.7 percent (15-of-26) shooting from the field and 42.9 percent (6-of-14) shooting from long range while tallying four rebounds and seven assists against College Park in 41 minutes on Jan. 5. He topped that performance with a career and NBA G League season-high 44 points, shooting 54.8 percent (17-of-31) from the field and 40.0 percent (8-of-20) from distance, along with six rebounds and two assists in 45 minutes against Greensboro on Jan. 7, becoming the first player in franchise history to score 40 or more points in consecutive games. On Jan. 9 against Greensboro, Randall II recorded 22 points, four rebounds and six assists in 41 minutes.

In four regular season games (all starts) for Long Island, Randall II has averaged 31.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 42.0 minutes per game. The 25-year-old leads the NBA G League in points scored (126) and 3-pointers made (21).
