Coyotes Recall Stone from Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled defensemen Michael Stone from the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Stone has recorded 6-22-28 and 20 PIM in 36 games with the Portland Pirates this season. He is tied for the team lead in PPG (5), second on the team in assists (22) and fourth in points (28).

The 22-year-old native of Winnipeg, Manitoba has played in 10 games with the Coyotes this season.

Stone was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the third round (69th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
