Coyotes Recall Michalek and Dauphin from Tucson

GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- Arizona Coyotes General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have recalled defenseman Zbynek Michalek and forward Laurent Dauphin from the Tucson Roadrunners, the club's American Hockey League affiliate (AHL). Dauphin is an emergency recall.

The 34-year-old Michalek has registered 6-8-14 with 32 penalty minutes (PIM) in 43 games with Tucson this season. The Jindrichuv Hradec, Czech Republic native has totaled 42-136-178 in 781 career NHL games with the Coyotes, Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues and has collected 32-108-140 in 609 career games with the Coyotes. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound defenseman has skated in the second-most games and has totaled the seventh-most points among defensemen in Coyotes history.

The 21-year-old Dauphin has collected 2-1-3 and 12 PIM in 24 games with the Coyotes this season and has recorded 3-1-4 with 16 PIM in 32 career NHL games. The 6-foot-0, 187-pound native from Repentigny, Quebec City has registered 14-8-22 with 35 PIM's in 31 games with the Roadrunners this season.

Dauphin was drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (39th overall) in the 2013 Entry Draft.
