
Coyotes Assign Strome, Murphy, Mermis & Hanley to Tucson

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have assigned center Dylan Strome and defensemen Trevor Murphy, Dakota Mermis and Joel Hanley to the Tucson Roadrunners, the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.
In 47 games with the Roadrunner this season, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound Strome registered 28-22-50 and 24 penalty minutes (PIM). The 21-year-old native of Mississauga, ON appeared in 21 games with the Coyotes in 2017-18, recording 4-5-9 and eight PIM.
The 22-year-old Murphy played in eight games with the Coyotes this season, collecting 1-2-3. In 56 games with Tucson and Milwaukee, the 5-10, 180-pound native of Windsor, ON registered 9-21-30 and 71 PIM.
In 57 games with the Roadrunners this season, Mermis recorded 2-17-19 and 45 PIM. The 6-0, 195-pound native of Alton, IL appeared in nine games with the Coyotes in 2017-18.
Hanley played in five games with the Coyotes this season. In 50 games with the Roadrunners, the 5-foor-11, 191-pound native of Keswick, ON collected 2-17-19 and 31 PIM.
