Flames Assign Spencer Foo, Rasmus Andersson and Jon Gillies to Stockton

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned forward Spencer Foo, defenseman Rasmus Andersson, and goaltender Jon Gillies to the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League. In a separate move, the Stockton Heat have released defenseman Cliff Watson from his pro tryout contract and have returned him to the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL.

Foo, a native of Edmonton, Alberta, skated in four games for the Flames this season scoring two goals including his first career NHL goal on April 5th in Winnipeg. Foo is having a sensational year in Stockton where he has 20 goals and 17 assists for 37 points in 59 games in his first professional season.

Andersson, a native of Malmo, Sweden, has seen action in ten games for the Flames this season. The AHL All-Star has been very impressive in his second professional season with eight goals and 30 assists for 38 points with the Stockton Hear this season.

Gillies, a native of Concord, New Hampshire, has played in 11 games between the pipes for the Flames this season. The 24-year-old sports a 3-5-1 record with a 2.88 GAA and 0.896 SV% for the Flames this season. Gillies has seen action in 36 games in Stockton this year sporting a 15-15-3 record with a 2.54 GAA and a .916 SV%.
