ECHL Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown to Face-Off

February 26, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

Today will be the third meeting of the season and the first at Wings Stadium between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Wheeling Nailers. The last time the teams squared off at Wings Stadium it was Kalamazoo's clinching victory in game six of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Going 1-3-0-1 in their last five contests, including losses in their last two games to K-Wings lead in the North Division is starting to shrink. Kalamazoo starts the day in first place in the North Division, six points ahead of the Cincinnati Cyclones.

This afternoon is game five of a season-lone nine-game road swing for the Nailers, who are 2-2-0-0 during the current trip. Wheeling enters Wings Stadium looking to move into first place, as they trail the first place Elmira Jackals by a single point for the top spot in the Atlantic Division.
