Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the first time since October 24th, the Kalamazoo Wings will welcome the Cincinnati Cyclones to Wings Stadium. On the season, the K-Wings are 4-1-1-0 versus the Cyclones; however, Kalamazoo is 0-1-1-0 in their last two meetings. Tonight will also start a home-and-home series between the teams.
Playing their first home game since January 1st, this evening is the K-Wings 16th home game of the season. Tied with the Stockton Thunder for fewest games on home ice, Kalamazoo will play eight out of their next nine on home ice.
Winners of four straight on the road, the Cyclones enter Wings Stadium in second place in the North Division. Cincinnati trails the division leaders, Wheeling Nailers by five points and lead the K-Wings, who are in third by only three points; through Cincinnati has played two more games than Kalamazoo.

It's Been Awhile
After six games on the road, Kalamazoo will return to Wings Stadium tonight to host the defending Kelly Cup Champions, Cincinnati Cyclones. The K-Wings, who will play eight out of their next nine games at home, have only played one game at Wings Stadium this month (January 1st).
Falling Behind
Giving up the first goal of the game hasn't all been bad news for the K-Wings. On the season, Kalamazoo is 10-9-1-2 when their opponents score first.
Nie Earns Honor
Earlier this week, Ryan Nie was named the Reebok ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending January 16th. The award was Nie's first of the season and the fifth time he was won the honor in his ECHL career.
Mr. 300
Forward Sam Ftorek is closing in on a personal milestone. Ftorek needs two more assists to reach 300 in his career.
