Jackals Announce Pregame Transactions

The Elmira Jackals announced Friday that forward Michael Dubuc has been returned to the club from the AHL's Rochester Americans. The Jackals have also signed forward Dale Mahovsky to a standard player contract.

Dubuc has 21 points (11g-10a) in 14 games with the Jackals in his third professional season. The Granby, Quebec native tied a club record on Oct. 16 by scoring four goals in a game against the Cincinnati Cyclones and was subsequently named the ECHL's Player of the Week for Oct. 15 to 17. Dubuc has points in 11 of 14 contests this season and had a seven-game point streak from Nov. 2 to Nov. 21 (5g-7a).

Mahovsky, a native of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, played 33 games with Newcastle (EIHL) this season, registering 31 points (16g-15a). He spent the last four seasons with the University of Alberta (CWUAA), totaling 67 points (28g-39a). Mahovsky played his entire WHL career with the Kootenay Ice and is fifth all-time on the club with 234 career points and second with 148 career assists.

The Jackals battle the Toledo Walleye in Ohio tonight at 7:00 p.m.
