For the second time in as many nights, the Kalamazoo Wings will tangle with the South Carolina Stingrays. Kalamazoo used a four-goal third period last night to defeat South Carolina 7-3. After tonight, the teams will hook up four more times.

This evening concludes a four-game road trip for Kalamazoo. So far on the swing, the K-Wings are 2-0-0-1. With 21 points, the K-Wings enter the night in third place in the North Division, one point behind the idle Wheeling Nailers, who are in second.

Concluding a three-game home stand, South Carolina has dropped two straight at the Coliseum. On the season, South Carolina is 5-5-1-0 at the Coliseum. After tonight, South Carolina will go on a three-game road trip. .

Last night, Sam Ftorek reached an impressive personal milestone. Ftorek recorded his 500th career point on a breakaway, shorthanded empty-net goal.

Forward Trent Daavettila enters tonight on a eight-game point streak. The eight-game point streak is the longest current point streak by a member of the K-Wings.

Saving the Day

Goaltender Ryan Nie stopped 43 shots in last night's win. The 43 saves from Nie is a K-Wings season-high for saves in the single-game.

End of the Road

The K-Wings four-game road trip will come to an end with Tuesday's game against the South Carolina Stingrays. When they return to the Wings Stadium, the K-Wings will have traveled 2,452 miles.
