
Florida's Lemieux Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. ¬" Francis Lemieux of the Florida Everblades is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 29-Dec. 5.
Lemieux scored six goals and added three assists as the Everblades went 3-0-0 last week extending their winning streak to six games and moving to within three points of first place in the ¬ËSouth Division.
The 26 year old opened the week with three goals and an assist in a 5-2 win at Kalamazoo on Wednesday and tallied a goal in a 4-2 win at Cincinnati on ¬ËFriday. He ended the week with another four-point game (2g-2a) in a 5-3 win at Cincinnati on ¬ËSaturday. His hat trick on ¬ËWednesday was the third three-goal game of his career.
Lemieux has 43 points (19g-24a) in 37 career ECHL games with Las Vegas and Florida and 113 points (45g-68a) in 249 games in the American Hockey League with Hamilton and Grand Rapids. He is second in the league this season with 31 points (10g-21) in 24 games.
On behalf of Francis Lemieux, a case of pucks will be donated to a Florida youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood ¬ËHockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 23,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
