December 7, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators will be close out 2010 with exciting new promotion dubbed "New Year's Freeze" on Friday, December 31st when the Wheeling Nailers visit the Arena at Gwinnett Center in the Gladiators first-ever home game on New Year's Eve. The holiday matchup will begin at a special start time of 6:05 p.m.
The event is designed to provide a family-friendly alternative to traditional adult-oriented New Year's Eve celebrations. Conducted in partnership with 104.7 FM The Fish, "New Year's Freeze" will feature a live post-game performance by the Grammy nominated and Dove Award-winning Christian rock/pop band, DecembeRadio (www.decemberadio.com).
As part of the festivities, the first 2,000 kids 12 & under will receive a pack of hockey-themed Silly Bandz. In addition, a special "Kids Countdown" to the New Year will be conducted during the 2nd Intermission, including great party favors for all to ring in 2011.
With special discount ticket rates available for groups of 20 or more, numerous Atlanta-area church groups and community organizations are expected to participate in the night. For more information on how to get a group out for the game, simply email groups@gwinnettgladiators.com or call the Gladiators office at 770-497-5100.
"New Year's Freeze" is also a Friendly Friday. For only $20, ADULTS get a premium level ticket in Section 115, a soda and either a pizza slice or jumbo hotdog for only $20 per person. For just $15, KIDS get a premium level ticket in Section 115 and a Kids Meal (chicken bites or hot dog, fries and a soda). For a family of four, that's a professional hockey game and a meal for only $70! (Friendly Friday offer available online at the official team website or at the Arena at Gwinnett Center Box office only.)
