For the final time in the regular season, the Kalamazoo Wings will battle the Florida Everblades. Tonight is the rubber match for not only the three-game series this season between the teams, but for the season series. On the year, Kalamazoo is 2-2-0-0 versus Florida..
This evening will close out a three-game road swing for the K-Wings. With 60 points, Kalamazoo finds themselves tied for second place in the North Division with Toledo and four points ahead of Wheeling, who is in fourth place.
Squandering a lead while entering the third period for just the second time this season, the Everblades did secure a point in the standings. Now with 63 points, Florida is in second place in the South Division, one point ahead of third place Charlotte.

Lloyd Goes First
Including his goal yesterday, Darryl Lloyd has scored the games first goal in five games this season for the K-Wings. The five first goals by Lloyd is the most of any K-Wings player.
Firing Squad
Yesterday the K-Wings posted a season-high tying 20 shots in the opening period. The other time that Kalamazoo registered 20 shots was November 28th at Wings Stadium also against the Florida Everblades.
Not So Exciting
So far this season, the most exciting play in hockey, the penalty shot, has led to not so thrilling results for opponents for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo has stopped all three penalty shots they have faced this season.
Similar Endings
The last three road victories for the K-Wings have been decided on the final shot of the game. Kalamazoo defeated Toledo 1-0 with a 1.3 seconds remaining on January 1st, they beat Johnstown 4-3 in overtime on January 6th and last night they beat the Florida Everblades 4-3 in overtime.
