RW Jason Dale was activated from 3-IR today, while F Matt McCue was placed on Bereavement Leave... D Chris Brooks was activated from 7-IR Friday... D Sasha Pokulok was returned by Springfield (AHL) and D Filip Bjork was signed to an Amateur Try-Out on Thursday... D Bobby Davey was traded to the Victoria Salmon Kings in exchange for future considerations on Thursday.
THE MATCHUP:
Although the Stockton Thunder gained a point in the shootout loss last night, the Condors were able to stretch their lead to seven points over their valley rivals in the Pacific Division standings. Stockton still has picked up at least a point in 14 of their last 16 games during their second half surge. This is the 10th meeting of the season between t
he two clubs
, who will also meet in a home-and-home series at the end of March to wrap up the season series. Bakersfield has taken the last four contests, scoring a combined 21 goals in the process and holds a 26-12-3 mark all-time against Stockton.
CONDORS NOTES:
D Sasha Pokulok had 1g-1a in his return to the Condors lineup last night... G Timo Pielmeier is 4-1 in shootouts this season, having surrendered only two goals on 19 shots. He has held the opponent scoreless in four of the five shootouts he has participated in... Former Thunder F Stephane Goulet has 2g-9a-11pts in the last five games. He leads the Condors with 6g-4a-10pts against his former team in the season series.
PROMOTIONAL NOTES:
Tonight the first 2,000 households will get a Condorstown Toilet Plunger, courtesy of 106.1 KRAB Radio and Cal Water. These handy bathroom utensils come complete with the Stockton Thunder logo on the underside of the plunger.
