IHL 2 Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown to Face-Off

April 8, 2006 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

For the final time this season, the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Port Huron Flags. Tonight will be the tenth meeting between the teams this season. So far the season series has been dominated by Kalamazoo, as the K-Wings are 8-0-1 against their division rivals, with four of those victories occurring at Wings Stadium.

With their victory last night over the Motor City Mechanics, coupled by the Flint Generals' win over the Muskegon Fury, the Kalamazoo Wings have pulled within two points of first place honors in both the league, as well as the Central Division. On the season, the K-Wings are 27-6-4 against teams from their own division.

The Port Huron Flags come into Wings Stadium looking to play the roll of spoiler. With just three games remaining on their schedule, the Flags could have a say in the playoff picture. After tonight, the Flags will have a home and home series next weekend against the Motor City Mechanics. Port Huron also comes into the game looking to snap a seven-game winless streak.
