Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the second time this week and the last in the regular season, the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Fort Wayne Komets. Kalamazoo is 4-3-0 against Fort Wayne this season, including a perfect 3-0-0 at the Allan County Memorial Coliseum.
The K-Wings will be looking to extend two streaks tonight. Kalamazoo is unbeaten in regulation in their last five games (4-0-1) and they are carrying a five-game road winning streak, which is the longest such streak in the UHL. The K-Wings will also try to move closer to first place in the Central Division. Kalamazoo trails the Muskegon Fury by just six points for the division's top spot. Kalamazoo is also just six points behind both Muskegon and the Adirondack Frostbite for first place overall in the league.
Fort Wayne enters tonight's game looking to improve their playoff position. The Komets are two points ahead of the Rockford IceHogs for first place in the Western Division. Fort Wayne is also just three points ahead of the K-Wings for third place overall in the UHL. Besides fending off the IceHogs and the K-Wings the Komets are also looking to climb in the standings, as they are just three points behind Muskegon and Adirondack for first place in the league.
