Countdown to Face-Off
Published on February 19, 2005 under International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
It's a divisional match-up for the K-Wings tonight, as they travel to Flint to battle the Generals. Kalamazoo is 3-1-0 against the Generals this season; however their lone setback to the Generals was back on October 22nd at the Perani's Hockey World Arena and Event Center.
The K-Wings may have ended their three-winning streak last night in a shootout loss to Missouri, but the extra session loss means the K-Wings are still unbeaten in regulation in their last four games. The K-Wings come into tonight's game just four points behind the Muskegon Fury for the top spot in the Central Division.
With a shootout victory over Richmond last night coupled with the expected debut of Detroit Red Wing Jason Woolley, it should be a ruckus atmosphere in Flint. The Generals enter tonight's game trying to keep pace in the division. Flint is 18 points behind Muskegon for first and 14 points behind the K-Wings.

That's Not Lucky, That's Skill
K-Wings forward Andrew Luciuk reached a personal milestone last night against Missouri. The veteran, who's nickname is "Lucky", demonstrated skill by tying a K-Wings season high for points in a game with four and in the process recorded his 400th career point.
On a Roll
A day after Yannick Carpentier's K-Wings season high seven-game point streak came to an end; two other K-Wings are looking to extend their multi-game streaks. Both Greg Labenski and Tim Turner enter tonight's game on three-game point streaks.
Scoring Punch
Forward Matt Noga has been on a scoring tear. Noga has registered six-points (2 goals, 4 assists) in his last two games.
Road Warriors
The K-Wings have won 18 road games this season. The 18 victories away from Wings Stadium are the most road wins by any team in the UHL this season.
