IHL 2 Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown to face-off

October 15, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

For the first time in franchise history, the K-Wings will lace up their skates against the Motor City Mechanics. After going 0-3-0 in the preseason, the K-Wings are looking forward to starting the regular season. The storyline in the season opener is simple, can the K-Wings stingy defense stop a potentially potent Mechanic offense that is led by former Central Hockey League stars Joe Burton and Blair Manning.

While Motor City is looking to the start the new season with their franchises first ever win, the K-Wings are looking to start 2004-05 exactly where they left off. Kalamazoo ended last year winning its last four regular season games and 17 of their last 20 overall.
