
Countdown to Face-Off: K-Wings at Komets Preseason

Game Preview
The Kalamazoo Wings and Fort Wayne Komets will each compete in their final preseason game before starting the regular season this weekend. While this will be their preseason against one another, both teams have played in two previous games.
Kalamazoo completed their home and home series against the Toledo Walleye with a convincing 5-2 victory last Saturday at Wings West. So far during the preseason, the K-Wings have a record of 1-1-0-0. The K-Wings will begin the regular season this Friday night against the Elmira Jackals at the First Arena.
Fort Wayne split their first two games (1-0-0-1) of the preseason against the Evansville IceMen. Including tonight, all three of the Komets preseason games have been played at home. The Komets will get their first taste of the road when they begin the regular season this Friday night against the Indy Fuel.

Media Luncheon
The K-Wings will host their annual Media Luncheon this Wednesday, October 15th. The gathering will be held at 1 p.m. at Old Burdick's Wings West and it is open to the public.
Rosters Due Wednesday
ECHL training will continue this week. Teams will turn in their regular season rosters to the ECHL on Wednesday afternoon.
Spreading the Wealth
So far during the preseason the K-Wings have scored seven goals. All seven tallies have been registered by a different player.
Fast Starts Kalamazoo has gotten off to quick starts during the preseason. In their first two preseason contests, the K-Wings not only scored the game's first goal, they have done so within the first four minutes of the game.
