
Cougars, Lansing postponed by rain

GENEVA, IL - Thursday afternoon's game between the Kane County Cougars and Lansing Lugnuts at Elfstrom Stadium was postponed by rain. It will be made up Friday as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games beginning at 4 CDT. Friday's game was originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m., so Game 2 of the doubleheader will not start any earlier than that time.

 Brett Hunter (0-0, 10.00) is expected to pitch Game 1, and Ben Hornbeck (2-0, 0.66) will make a spot start in Game 2.

 The Cougars (13-6) are in the middle of a 10-game home stand and are in sole possession of first place atop the Western Division.
