Cougars Add Salmon To Roster

Prince George, BC - The Prince George Cougars have added 16-year old goaltender Michael Salmon to the team's roster.

Salmon, a listed player with the Cougars in 2007, played this past season with the Red Deer Optimist Rebels of the Alberta AAA Midget Hockey League, where he played in 25 games, posting a 9-11-1 record. Salmon had a goals against average of 3.56 and a save percentage of 88.1. The highlight of Salmon's season came at the Mac's AAA Midget hockey tournament in Calgary, where Salmon earned the top goalie award for the event, winning 3 of 4 games, with a 2.75 GAA and an 89.3 save percentage.

Salmon will join the Cougars this afternoon in Chilliwack.
