Justin Leclerc stopped 58 of 59 Giants shots as the Blazers prevailed 3-1 over Vancouver on Wednesday night at ISC.
After a scoreless first, the Blazers struck for their 3 goals in the last half of period two with Shayne Wiebe scoring twice and Tyler Shattock adding a single for a 3-0 Kamloops lead after two. Evander Kane scored the only Giant goal with less than 6 minutes left on a 6-on-4 powerplay.
Final shots were 59-16 Giants with Tyson Sexsmith taking the loss. The Blazers were 2-for-7 on the powerplay and 7-for-8 on the penalty kill. CJ Stretch chipped in with 2 assists.
